The IRS recently added enhanced security features designed to provide additional safeguards against cyber-attacks and hacking which has unfortunately resulted in transcript vendors being unable to obtain transcript results. The IRS is working to resolve the issue.
The IRS has resolved the issue and transcript vendors are now able to obtain transcript results, however, a back-log is expected.
Brokers should continue to order transcripts. In the event a loan is scheduled to fund and the transcripts have not been received, HomeBridge will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
